How does Viewability Tools work?

- First, you define the desired viewability level on particular domains – the default value is 75%.

- Then, you choose which viewability-boosting features you want to enable on the domain level:
- Lazy Loading (deterring sending ad requests to ad units).
- Scroll Slowing (gently & gradually decreasing scroll speed when an ad is in view but not counted as viewable yet).
- “Sticking” the ad unit to the top of the screen briefly when the user scrolls down the page.
- Then, for each ad unit, you decide if particular features are:
- Always on.
- Always off.
- Automatically controlled by AI.
- If you opted for AI control, then the features are triggered:
- To reach viewability as close to the desired target level as possible.
- By not using Lazy Loading if possible (its side effect is limiting the total number of ad requests).
- AI’s predictions (how frequently to trigger particular features) are done for each unit independently and are updated every day.
